Film: A Bridge Too Far

I cannot remember for the life of me where I learnt that a sequence in the film A Bridge Too Far, was shot on the heath.  So this would have been in 1976.

It is quite possible that one of, or part of the drops was filmed there.  As some of us know, it looked very different then and the local parachute club used the facility.

Cheers
Rogier

I'm intrigued by this one

I have watched it scores of times. I wonder which scene or scenes were involved

One of my favorite movies! I like to make a count of the wrong (or bad) decision points made along the way (like woods camoflage for city fighting, wrong radio crystals, etc.).

The Internet Movie Database (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075784/) indicates that another 'Heath' was used as a filming location:

Moor Park Golf Club, Moor Park, Anson Walk, Batchworth Heath, Hertfordshire, England, UK

Cheers,
Tommy

I just watched it again on DVD for the first time in some twenty or so years...what a classic, right down to the theme song.  Even my 3 year old daughter loved General Horrocks' dashing and funny briefing - now we go round the back garden chasing each other to the line of "speed is the critical factor" in our best Sandhurst posh accent! (Don't worry all, she didn't see anything more violent than that scene!)

Nice to read the trivia, thanks for those links.
