No. 3 [F] squadron was based at Martlesham briefly from April 3rd - June 23rd 1941 flying Hurricanes IIB/IIC's

Number 15 [XV] Squadron was based at MH from March 20th 1924 - May 31st 1934 with many types operating within A&AEE and Armament Testing

17 [F] Squadron served at MH twice

Oct 9th 1940 - Feb 26th 1941

&

April 1st 1941 - April 5th 1941 before being based in Scotland, at this time Hurricanes I/II were being flown

22 Squadron were based at MH twice from

July 24th 1923 - May 1st 1934 with various types within the AEE
&
February 15th 1955 - June 4th 1956 as an SAR Unit, this was 'B' Flight, at about this time I was fortunate to get a trip in a Westland Whirlwind with the same Squadron but a different 'Flight' at St Mawgan on a dry winching exercise

Similar aircraft to this one but in a yellow colourway

Number 25 [F] squadron was based at MH from June 19th - September 2nd 1940 flying Blenheim's IF and Beaufighter NFI's plus detachments were seconded here
