Gordon Kinsey, President of The Martlesham Heath Aviation Society, knows a think or two about books, he is the author of at least three that I have read, one that obviously is pertinent to these pages is his book:

Martlesham Heath written by Gordon Kinsey, published by Terence Dalton at Lavenham ISBN 0 86138 023 1

There are 200 plus pages of everything connected to aviation at The Heath from its early days of 1917 to its closure.  Thoroughly Recommended, I'm not sure if the contents are on a CD or not...........

The Black Tiles at Martlesham probably had more famous aviators visit it than any other pub/cafe in the UK During WWII this was a cafe today it is a well known pub, always well attended, yesterday was no exception

A Visitors Book once graced this cafe it now resides in London at The RAF Museum Hendon, it is said to contain more signatures of airmen than any other book known, famous names grace the pages, with fighter aces, civilian aviators, squadron histories and cartoons, jokes it has it all, an extract from Gordon Kinseys book Martlesham Heath is featured here. I met up with Gordon a few short weeks ago in a Chindit Hat
