It is very difficult to get any pictures of WB airfield through the perimeter wire but I did manage this one through the ferns

Remember this runway is 750' wide x 10000' long with under/overshoot areas wide and was built as a 'crash drome' in WWII, there still appears to be vegetation at the edges of the runway, although it is still being used, the approach lights are still in situ

Much heather surrounds the peri track

That fence on the right beyond the command post wasn't in existence in the 1980's

The 'UFO Incident' occurred by this gate
