The guys who were in this secret organisation were not allowed to tell anyone including wives, girlfriends etc where they were going and a lot pretended to be conscientious objectors. imagine going out on a regular basis and trying to explain to your wife where you were going especially all night. The were some interesting bunkers around Ipswich but they have never been found. One apparently is in the railway tunnel at Ipswich Station and one in the Ferodo bridge on Norwich Road.
Those of you that are aviation enthusiasts will recall Ray and Mark Hanna who were extraordinary display pilots with veteran WWII aircraft both are buried in St Mary's Churchyard at Parham
