I note that there has been no announcement on the MHAS website in the form of an obituary, as Captain Eric Brown was, to my knowledge, a Vice president of Martlesham Heath Aviation Society I thought I would include The Daily Telegraph obituary notice here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/12167611/Captain-Eric-Winkle-Brown-obituary.html

The aviation world has acknowledged 'Winkle' as the greatest aviator the world has known, never having met the man it is a fitting tribute that others have recognised his achievements

RiP Captain Brown
