There is nothing more evocative to me than to hear the roar of a Merlin engine, as I did today at 1155hrs, perhaps it was The Grace Spitfire being tested I do not know.

But the very first prototype was tested in Suffolk at Martlesham Heath so I am putting together a collection of Spitfire photographs for your enjoyment

There will follow several of MH434 that was taken at an air display over a Suffolk airfield and that is Rougham/Bury St Edmunds..........
