A wonderful set of photos sent to me by Ross whitaker whose father Lt William R Whitaker was there with the 356thFG, 359th FS in late 1944 into 1945.

Included is the probably most iconic shot of the era of a P51 called Lorraine, taken from the balcony of the CT, and actually is the intellectual property of Ross.

There is also a stitch done by me of two of the shots

There is also an overlay of the same scene and today by Adam Surrey using my shot

Perhaps JC wouls like to add some of his shots of the revetments as they are today.
