I took this photo in August 1960 at MH

I was stationed here briefly with the University of Birmingham Air Squadron from July 1960 to September 1960 [Summer Camp]

MR WL378 T7 & F8 Meteor Martlesham 1960.jpg

A T7 Meteor foreground and an F8 meteor beyond, the F8 was the hack for the AOC-in-C whose 11 [F] Group HQ was on the extreme right of the photo, this building still stands in the compound of British Telecom, the building to the left was demolished and the 10 pin Bowling Alley now stands in its place

Approx where I am standing taking the photo from is where the A12 main road now stands
