Near to The Douglas Bader Pub is the old section of East/West runway, the only other visible piece of this runway is East of the A12 Roundabout that takes you into the BT complex

The old hangar I think is the one seen in the Lorraine Mustang picture taken from the CT balcony.

We took a walk from Kesgrave this afternoon to the old Woodbridge/FXT road leading to Barrack Square and took some further photos, they are not much different to what I have put up before, but I'll see if the angles tell another story later this week.

Curiously the USA Memorial [rear side] has the inscription

1939-45

I wonder if this was by design due to the 'Eagle' Boys of 71 Squadron being part of it but that wasn't until 1940
