A couple of Meteors reloaded from lost pictures, I took this photo in the summer of 1960, if I were standing in the same spot today I would be brown bread as the main A12 (T) runs through this exact spot

I'm unsure as to what the hangar was used for in those days, but that is long gone and a bowling alley stands in its place, the building behind, thankfully, still stands and was either SHQ or 11 [F] Group HQ's perhaps Tarkey knows

Martlesham Heath has got to be one of the most historic airfields in the UK and thank goodness those memories are kept alive with a very active Aviation Site situated in the old Control Tower

I photographed the windsock at MH on Wednesday this week, the day before the current story weather hit, I hasten to add this is nothing to do with the RAF/MoD
