The RAF in Suffolk

Our speaker at MHAS this week was from the Mid Suffolk Light Railway Museum at Brockford, next village to the Airfield ( The airfield is not actually in Mendlesham). He said that the old railway was used to bring in building materials and stores etc. In fact it paid for the upgrade of the line from Light to Full, as the old system could not handle the weight.
